Do Girls Really Care about a Guy’s Looks?

Do girls think looks matter? In the case of celebrity crush, yes, looks do matter. If it's the case of her school/ university crush, sometimes no. If it is about her male best friend, essence matters. But if it's about dating a guy, maybe looks matter. If love, at first sight, is the case, then it's about the overall personality.

However, if she is considering someone as a life partner, do guy's looks matter? What matters here is the feeling that attaches her with the guy along with the charm he portrays. Seems quite confusing right?

Does A Guy's Looks Matter? - No

Good looks might not guarantee a greater and happier relationship. And neither is looking out for the handsome man seems to be the solution. One has rightly said, "Looks could be deceiving." They are sufficient for the initial attraction to take place, but what really matters at a later stage are the qualities that a man possesses. Woman of today understands that quality of the relationship matters, and not how attractive her man is. When it comes to the short-term relationships, considering looks as an aspect of bragging in front of her friends or flaunting the guy like a trophy is quite an expected event. But choosing your life partner based on such aspects is totally wrong.

When there's a run behind materialistic prevalence, satisfaction goes out of the door. But the perception of attractiveness starts becoming divergent as the couple gets to know each other over the time. So, looks aren't really everything for the intellectual woman who understands what's right for her and what she wants to achieve in life. There are several things she looks out for in a man before magically falling in love with him. Overall personality, sense of humor, compatibility, decent income, fidelity, confidence, respectfulness, education, compassion, strength, intelligence, competence, and the way a man converses are amongst the things women notice. So, an arrogant man with seemingly the most perfect looks is a big no-no. Beauty is definitely skin deep but of course, how a man carries himself does matter. The way he keeps his hair, or the way he carries his clothes, what he wears and how regular is he with basic hygiene and grooming habits counts.

Do Girls Think Looks Matter - Yes

Make a decision - Kind heart and average looks or a bad boy with slaying cheekbones? Confusing, right? So the fact lies here, we are all somehow somewhere attracted towards good-looking people more than the average looking ones. And this is also what deludes us of their faults. However, there's nothing wrong in the same, and she can definitely use looks of a guy as a base for her dating possibilities. But she might feel reluctant to make the choice. However, it's same even the other way round. But put it this way, aren't good looks a sign of a well-kept man? Probably the better a man looks, the more healthy, hygienic and well-groomed he is. Quite an evolutionary view point!

But this does not mean a relationship should start with looks and end with that only. Those desirable looks also relate with strength and dominance, but you shouldn't really make judgments by looking at the face or physique alone. Though if she has that risk-taker persona and the man too isn't deeply involved, there are lesser chances of dating status to turn into a lasting relationship. This is when attractiveness has more leverage over sustaining the relationship.

A woman, according to the type of relationship she wants with a man, tends to resort to the appropriate ways. It is quite similar to how a man chooses his perfect woman. Liked what you just read?
