5 Easy Self Defense Techniques Every Woman Should Know

It is not that women won’t be able to defend themselves without having the training of self-defence. But, by getting trained, they will able to build up and sharpen their skills which will make them stronger and more confident.

Most of you feel that during the time of an attack, how can anyone recall the training? Wouldn't they follow their instinct? Partially, that's true. However, what you must know is that during the self-defence training, you are sharpening up your basic instincts only.

The techniques that you learn are the ones that come naturally to you. The only difference is that with training, you can gain knowledge of your moves so that you can use them as smartly as possible.

So, what are you waiting for? Here are some instinctive moves of self-defense that you must master:

#1. Direct Punch In The Face

Who doesn't punch in the face? That's the first move that comes to any layman's mind when they try to protect themselves.

It is advisable to use the knuckle of your middle finger (not the ring or pinky finger) to point and punch. The knuckles of the middle finger are the strongest and would injure the attacker.

Tip: To make the punch even more painful, aim for the most vulnerable part of the face like eyes, nose or lips.

#2. Kick Where It Hurts

Most of you must have cracked the code. Yes, the correct answer is the most sensitive part of the body!

Since the sensitivity of the area is high, it will leave the attacker in a helpless mode, giving you ample amount of time to either run away from the place and plan your other move. So go on, kick the heart out of it.

Tip: If the attacker is too close to you and you aren’t able to use your leg then, use your knee to make the strike. Remember, you will not use your thigh to do it but your knee (so that it hurts bad).

After this attack, there will be plenty of time for you to whack the attacker in other places or run away.

#3. Bear Hug Defence

When the attacker grabs you from behind or front, then, you should adopt this technique. You have to drop yourself as low to the ground as possible and twist your body to loosen up the grip of your foe.

Having said that, turn with a jerk and strike the attackers face with a punch or the elbow. Within a split second, plan your second move and kick hard to rescue yourself from the evil person's grip.

Tip: The only thing you need to keep in mind is that you first have to lower your body. It will make you get a firm holding on the ground. The position will increase the strength in the body to lift the perpetrator and throw them aside.

#4. Breaking The Choke

If the attacker tries to strangle you then, instead of struggling to release your neck from its grip, try reaching for its thumbs and pull them away from your neck and his fingers.

It will cause pain to the attacker and distract him from its sinister plot, giving you time to breathe and take action.

Tip: Always remember that you should do this immediately because it takes only 5-8 seconds to choke a person.

#5. Target The Ear

Slap, pull, twist. Do everything that you possibly can with their ears to cause them pain. It will hurt them badly, and they will leave everything else to save their ear.

Tip: With this, you will get time to run away or beat the hell out of them! The choice is yours.
