Heating Foods vs Cooling Foods: What's the Difference?

Do you know which are the best cooling foods for the body? Cooling foods are great to keep you cool through the hot summers. They have qualities like coolness, darkness, and moisture. They help in clearing the toxins and the heat from the body by cooling the blood.

Cooling foods are beneficial for people who have symptoms or characteristics like constipation, thirst, anxiety, red eyes, headache, vivid dreams, oral ulcers, cold sores, rapid pulse, heartburn, yellow urine, perspiration, stinky stools, feeling hot, and red eyes.

Hot- and Cold- food items make a major part of your diet. Thirty people were grouped by Chinese medical doctors to observe the difference between hot and cold foods. The different signals induced by the samples to observe the heart rate variability through the laser doppler anemometer. It was found that the capillary red blood cell (RBC) velocity of the subjects accelerated considerably after taking samples of ginger tea.

The juicy watermelons are totally made of water. They contain zero calories and yet are delicious. The juicy beauties are a great buy during summers. They are also effective in recovering from diarrhea.

The crunchy vegetable is full of fiber and is effective in fighting against constipation and dehydration. Cucumbers are great to keep your body and your eyes hydrated.

The super cool and fresh mint is a great coolant. You can add some mint leaves to your curd or make a paste of it to be eaten as a sauce (mint chutney). Mojitos are made from mint and give an instant cooling effect to the body.

Green vegetables are known to be the healthiest food options. They contain all the nutrients necessary for the body. In addition to the proteins and vitamins, green veggies are great coolants as well. Just don’t overcook them, it may lead to loss of water content.

#7. Onions 

Onions are a great coolant. In summers like that of India, onions are great in fighting against the excessive heat. You can use onions in your bread fillings, in vegetable salads and dips to make them cool.

Melons again have 90% water. Gorge on plenty of melons to keep yourself hydrated and radiating through the summers.

The body temperature can be cooled down by consuming cooling food items like the ones mentioned above. Beat the heat with these interesting coolants this season.

These food items are not meant for the weak hearted because it is difficult to gulp down such huge amount of spices.
