Do you constantly lose self-control and start blushing while your crush walks past you, or they're around? If the answer is YES, we can totally feel you. Losing control and ending up blushing in presence of your crush is normal, and you're not the only victim of this adorable crime. It's natural. How can you even stay calm and not blush when someone who you're attracted to is around you when even his/her thoughts make you smile and turn your cheeks pink.
You can be a control freak, but even your controlling nature can’t control the butterflies that start flapping their wings inside your stomach when the scent on her\his body lingers within you and reach your senses along with the air around you. Though blushing is not something you should be controlling, it’s better to let people know of your feelings rather than regretting later. The grievance that comes because of the things left unspoken are more painful than any physical or emotional pain. So, if you feel for her or him, gather your courage and let it all out. Who knows, things might turn into your favor, and your crush becomes your soulmate. The outcome can be anything, but it’s worth trying without thinking of the outcome.
We hope you agree, and we know sometimes the continuous blushing might feel awkward to you and turn into an embarrassment. Thus, here are some steps to gain control on your butterflies, but these steps might not work every time. In cases when your crush is more than a crush for you, nothing will help you. So, control all the blushing, and it would be better to you confess your feelings.
#1. Try To Act Natural
Be natural and try to act natural. If your crush is a friend of yours, she already knows you have a crush on them, and thus it's better to stop trying to control yourself. She/He might be perfect in your eyes, but whoever they are, they are humans too. So, stop embarrassing yourself, they are as imperfect as you are and nothing can change that. You have to control the nervousness that is causing the shyness, leading you to blush. Treat them just like your normal comrades and share a light-hearted conversation with them.

#2. Be Yourself, Don’t Try To Imitate Others
Your crush may or may not have the same feelings towards you; maybe they will develop the same later. But in pursuit to attract them towards you, don't change yourself, or try to be something which you're not. It's okay if your crush likes to hang out with cool fellows which you're not, but there may be something else about you that will attract him/her towards you. So, stop imitating someone you're not and just be yourself every time.

#3. Tell Her/Him About Your Feelings
Many philosophers or dating experts have said, it's no use hiding your feelings for someone, it will make you regret later. Thus, if you feel something for someone, it's better to muster the courage and walk up to her or him and say, "Hey, you may find this weird, but I have a crush on you". Don't worry, no one will abuse or hit you for confessing your feelings to them. Everyone feels good when they know they are likable, and someone admires them. So, take the chance, be a man.
This might be the first time for you, and it's okay to be unsure, but when you start lurking on the internet to find out the answer to your question. You'll find out that most people prefer this step and have been successful in controlling their urge to not blush around their crush The secrecy makes you feel butterflies inside your stomach, and the best way to get rid of them is to confess your feelings.

#4. Text Them
If you want to take your chances and take things ahead between you and your crush, the previous step is necessary. But, to let her/him know your feelings, you don't have to do it physically by talking to them. You can try the alternative methods which are more comfortable like texting. The best part about texting is, even if you're blushing like hell, your crush won't know it. And, it's always better to text than talk orally, at least you can control and moderate your words before using them. In addition, starting with texting will help you in building up a comfort level around your crush, making things easier during face-to-face conversation.

#6. Start Talking, Keep It Short At First
Unless you talk to your crush, you'll not be able to stop yourself from blushing in their presence. The simplest conversation like a 'Hey, how are you doing?' in the office or school corridor, or "Hey, you look good today" or even a good morning every day can work. But, after a little while, try to take a leap of faith and initiate a real conversation.

#7. Find Out The Common Interest
Your crush having a common interest is like getting one pizza free with another. Having a common interest gives you a ready-made topic to start your conversation, and the best part, you don't have to fake your interest. Believe me, having a common interest is a secret blessing as if the god wants you guys to be together. In my case, we both loved sketching, so we got something to talk about. But, the conversation which used to start with sketching, always ended up on any random thing. So, be thankful to your god if you both have a common interest.

#8. Practice Public Speaking In Front Of The Mirror
We often feel shy when talking to people, especially when the other person in the conversation is of opposite gender. But the shyness can be avoided with proper practice. In case you have an elder sibling of opposite sex, you can ask them to help. Assume your sibling is your crush, try to keep a conversation going on. The second thing you can do is stand in front of the mirror and assume your mirror image is your crush, and start a conversation. Keep observing your facial expressions, and try again if they're awkward. Keep the activity going on unless you get comfortable. When you feel you're comfortable, take the real dare and approach your crush for a conversation.
Tip: Rather than finding a way to hide your feelings, and control your frequent blush, dare to confront and confess your feelings and end this embarrassing experience forever.
