All is fair in love and war is a concept we are all familiar with. We all have our own takes on this theory. Some ardently believe in it, others find it off limit, and a few just use the theory according to their convenience. Here are the reasons why the theory is right and the reasons that make it wrong:-
#1. Fairness Is Subjective
There is no standard definition of what is fair. What might be fair for you might be unfair to others? Moreover, you can always mold the concept of fairness.
#2. Self- Accusation
It’s all about the effort you make. If you do not chase what you really want, you might end up with a lifetime of remorse. Not trying to get what you want is even worse than trying and losing.

#3. Goal-Directed
Who doesn’t like the spark of fighting for what they want? If you are a follower of this theory, chances are that you are highly goal-directed.
#4. You Can Always Justify
No matter what means you use to get there, you will always have reasons for it. Moreover, the feeling of achieving what you want overpowers everything you had to do in the process.

#5. Rules Restrict You
Religiously following the code is not always necessary. At times, abiding by the moral code of conduct will only pull you back, and you end up restricting your abilities.
#6. You Get Over It Eventually
Guilt does not come in the way of your pursuit, at least not for a long term. Even if you are left with any guilt of crossing the line at the end of the day, you get over it with it.

#7. Human Tendency
As a human, you actually can’t help using all means, whether fair or unfair. It is a basic survival instinct of human to use every possible method to achieve the things that matter to you.
#1. Letting Go Of Who You Are
While following the theory, you might end up losing who you really are. You let go of certain traits of your personality and may become an entirely different person.

#2. Moral Turpitude
There are certain things which are just wrong in the face of it. Going by the literal meaning of ‘All is fair in love and war’, you end up losing a sense of morality.

#3. The Law Doesn’t Say So
Well, the law does not find the theory amusing and has efficiently put limits on your pursuit. You might face legal consequence if you get involved in a violent or fraudulent act while living in your bubble of all is fair in love and war.
#4. Insensitive Approach
When you are on your way to get the person like making sure if they are equally interested is wrong on every level. You are simply becoming insensitive and self- serving by taking the theory literally.
#5. You Miss Out On a Lot
At times, using all sorts of means to get there may turn your entire life into a chase. You might get so obsessed with the idea that you miss out on a lot in life.

#6. The Results Are Not Always Fulfilling
Finally, when you conquer that war of your own or get the love of your life, you might not feel the same way about it. This will only make you regret losing your morality to get nowhere.
