#1. Faster Boot Times

In the presentation for Android Oreo, Google claimed that the newest version of Android is light, and hence will improve boot times of your phone significantly. We tested the Android Oreo on the Nexus 6P and the initial signs are quite impressive. In our results, we found out that boot times increased by up to 30% than Android Nougat.

We even found a significant increase in the battery life of the Nexus 6P. Google claims that Android Oreo restricts several background apps and that is what helps in squeezing a few more hours to your phone. Apps running in the background will be deprioritized and that will help in improving the battery life.

#3. Notification Dots

While iOS has had this feature for a while, it makes a debut into the Android world with Android 8.0. Now, you can see how many notifications you have on each app, separately.
