How to get Rid of HPV?

HPV infection is not a lethal infection to be greatly worried about. Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a viral infection that gets transferred because of skin-to-skin contact.

The infection can be passed on through sexual contact as well and usually affects the genital areas, the mouth, and the throat. While there are vaccinations available to prevent the infection, certain home treatments are quite effective in curing HPV infection too.

HPV Symptoms

Symptoms of HPV depend on the specific type of HPV infection. Few of them are:

HPV Treatment For Men

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved an HPV test for women over the age of 30, but no HPV test has been permitted for men till now. Both men and women can lower the risk of catching an HPV infection by getting vaccinated as and when required. The FDA has approved three HPV vaccines in the U.S., which according to studies have shown tremendous results. These vaccinations are highly effective against the HPV infection preventing health problems like cancer and genital warts.

It has been observed that men seem to get infected with oral cancers, which are transmitted to them through the means of oral sex with HPV-positive partners.

In case of women, the doctors usually swab the cells from the cervix and send them for lab testing, similar to a pap test. This test is done to look for the presence of any HPV infection in the body. The Centers for Disease and Prevention (CDC) advises all boys and girls falling in the age group of 11-12 years to get vaccinated. They favor getting the vaccinations done before the kids become sexually active.

HPV Natural Treatments
