How much is Walmart's Worth?

Think of retail giants and Walmart will pop in your head. Walmart is perhaps the most popular retail store which has a reach not only in the US, but also in Europe and Asia.

Sam Walton took over the management of a Ben Franklin general store in Arkansas, and his store was an instant hit.

From there, he opened his first store called the Walton’s Five and Dime. By 1967, one store had become 24 and the rest, as they say, remains history. Walmart saw an exceptional growth rate, especially in the 70s and the 80s and established itself as the most elite retail store in the world.

However, after all this success, it forces one to wonder as to what is the net worth of the retail giants.

What Is Walmart’s Net Worth?

To put it short, Walmart’s net worth is estimated to be around $180 billion. That is a lot of money. However, if we look at the magnitude of Walmart and its presence across the world, it is not hard to see as to why the company makes so much money. It is a one-stop destination for all human needs, starting right from groceries to apparels to technology.

It is because of this unification of everything under one roof, that Walmart is so popular today. It was established with a proper business plan in the mind of Sam Walton in 1962; and today, after more than half a century of its inception, the plan seems to be working just fine.
