Apple redefined the way people used personal computers forever. With their Apple I and Apple II, the tech giants tapped into a market that had been in a state of dormancy and had very few competitors.
However, a basic reason of Apple’s Mac lineups in the earlier years was its robust operating software: Basic. Basic was built by Bill Gates, who sold the exclusive rights of it to both IBM and Apple. However, following a rift with Steve Jobs and to realize a dream of his own, Gates separated from Apple’s ties and created Microsoft.
When Windows came out, it was revolutionary in every sense. It disrupted Apple’s monopoly in the market, and from there started the big debate: Mac vs. Windows. To put this debate to bed once and for all, let’s pit the two adversaries head to head and see who wins in which department. Take a look:
#1. Experience
Let’s begin with something that is at the core of Apple’s philosophy. Their products are designed with sheer attention to detail and are highly sophisticated while being equally easy to use. Needless to say, when you buy Apple’s Mac, you not only buy a tech gadget, but you buy a wonderful user experience. Windows PC, on the other hand, is designed for power-hungry users. They are definitely nowhere near Apple in terms of in-build quality and end-user experience. Just as an example, a 7-year-old MacBook Air, still has a design that can beat most Windows PCs of 2017.

Winner: Apple
#2. Performance
Looks matter, but what matters equally is what is under the hood of a machine. This category is like a mixed bag. If you talk about your average day-to-day performance, then Apple and Windows PCs don’t have much of a difference. Although, it is worth noting that Macs don’t come as loaded as their Windows’ counterparts. However, if your priority is gaming, then Apple should be out of your mind. There are wonderful Windows PCs that can give you a wonderful gaming experience like Dell’s Alienware or the new Razor Blades. For other tasks, like video editing, Apple is the industry standard and its in-house Final Cut Pro software is better than any other video editing software and the Adobe Premiere in particular.

Winner: Windows for gaming, Apple for everything else.
#3. Ecosystem
Apple’s line of PCs can be counted on the fingers of one hand. But, despite having only a few PCs on offer, they say that there is a Mac for everyone. Apple’s products are based around a solid ecosystem. For instance, if you have an iPhone and a Mac, then the integration that you can experience between the two devices is far superior to any Windows PC can ever provide. You can literally type something on your phone, and can continue it on your MacBook at the flick of a hat.

#4. Options
Like we discussed above, Apple has a limited number of Macs on offer which can cater to almost anyone in the world. When it comes to Windows, the one thing that confuses people the most is that there are far too many options to choose from. Buying a Windows PC is no less than a hassle as there are so many companies to choose from. This is great but can be equally frustrating.

Winner: Apple
#5. Satisfaction
In a survey, 70% of Windows PC owners said that they would rather have a Mac. That tells us how popular Macs are. Don’t get us wrong, Windows PCs are great, but they just don’t provide the same amount of satisfaction that a Mac does. Apple has consistently topped the user satisfaction charts and that is partly because of a solid customer support base and largely because of the way it crafts its products.

So there you have it. Clearly, Apple’s Mac runs out as a clear winner in Mac vs Windows. Disagree with us? Let us know in the comments below.
Macs are way better than Microsoft PCs. They come with hardware-software integration. That is the prime reason why macs generally last for more than 4 years. Macbooks all the way!
I'm an Apple user all the way!! I've been using a Mac for last 10 years now, if not more... first, it was the iMac, and then, have been using the Macbook for last 5 years & I love love love it!
Be the compatibility, experience, service, and apps- everything about the Mac is simply amazing!
