Marketers will tell you that a product’s packaging is perhaps the last ad that a person sees, and it is so incisive because it is the packaging that forces the person to make a final decision on; as to either buy the product or leave it. In fact, the impact of good packaging on the psyche of consumers is such that they often buy products that will never need only because it was packaged well.

If you want your packaging to leave an impact on consumers, you should always aim at keeping the packaging as minimal as possible. Plus, the packaging should be in sync with the product and the company’s identity. Also, considering the amount of competition in the market, a unique packaging idea will always stand out. Influence Of Packaging: Who Does It The Best?

When you talk of excellent packaging both in terms of ideas, quality, and appeal, there are two companies in particular that are considered to be the flag bearers of it. These companies are Coca Cola and Apple.

We are all familiar with Coke’s iconic logo so much so that it is one of the most recognized logos around the world. Add to that, the regular marketing campaigns that the soft drinks giant runs. The most popular packaging strategy came very recently under the ‘Share A Coke’ campaign, where people could actually get their first name written on Coke bottles. Needless to say, the idea was a huge hit as the company saw a massive 36% increase in sales following the campaign.

Apple, on the other hand, has always been recommended by its users for the way it presents its products in a very simple and minimalist fashion. Apple’s packaging boxes are purely white and are completely devoid of wild graphics. Every inch of the packaging speaks premium and does absolute justice to the amazing Apple device under it.
