Ideas like ‘men don’t cry’ are introduced to us at a tender age. It is believed that in contrast to the expressive women, men tend to be secretive about their emotional side. However, this does not imply that they do not have moments of emotional collapses. Despite their conditioning to become emotionally stronger, there are moments when men break down into tears too.
Here is a list of moments and reasons which can drive men to tears:-
#1 When a loved one dies
The death of a loved one can move anyone to tears, even men. It is only human to cry when you lose someone you care about. It could be the death of a family member or a close friend which can make tears roll down your eyes.

#2 Relationship moments
Did you think it is only women who cry over relationship matters? Men are also found to be emotionally responsive in a relationship. An upsetting fight, a rough breakup or the special proposal moment can get men to cry.

#3. Losing a pet
No matter what, pets always end up fitting in a special corner of your heart. What makes pets so special is that you know that you have someone who will never disappoint you. Loss of a pet is something that might come as a setback to men as well and move them to tears.

One of the most special days in anyone’s life, every wedding has emotional moments for both men and women. Watching the charming bride walk down the aisle can move anyone to tears. Groom and the bride’s father are usually found to be emotionally expressive at moments like these.

Holding your child in your hands for the first time brings on an emotional stir. The thought of having become a parent and a glance at the tiny hands and feet of the newborn is one thing that can make men cry.

#7. The parent love
It is not only women who have emotional chords with parents, but men also share an inexplicable bond with them. Even the thought of their parents staying alone and away and the helplessness accompanied with it can get men to cry.

#8. A touching movie
Do only women cry during a movie? Well, crying over emotional movies is not a women-only thing. Men are equally prone to crying during a movie. It is perfectly normal to cry during a heart touching Pixar film.

#9. Favorite team losing
If a man is a huge sports fan, the chances are that he idealizes his favorite team. Men tend to develop such strong emotional connection with their favorite team that they can’t help but cry when they lose the game. A game can trigger multiple emotional responses in men.

#10. Music
The music leaves the same kind of impact on men as it does on women. An intense and emotional music can make men cry. However, the emotional crossing over is either put to an immediate end by men themselves or is left unnoticed.

#11. Physical pain
Obvious yet unusual enough, physical pain can get men to cry. Getting stereotyped into a stronger gender does not help when the pain is unendurable.

Men are only conditioned to conceal their emotions. They are equally capable of an emotional outburst depending upon the situaiton.
Gone are the days when men were expected to not cry. Men are human too and it is equally important for them to express their emotions. There are incidences of joy or sadness that can make a man cry and he should. Crying is just a way to express your emotion and has nothing to do with weakness. only an emotionally strong man can cry in front of other people.
I think that men are not able to express themselves in most of the situations. This is how they are designed.
But it becomes quite unsatisfactory for women (who are in their life) when they are not aware of how much importance is the woman having in their life.
This is something that the men will have to work upon. Also, I think that men are considered weak and lack masculinity if they cry and therefore most men have a watch on it. But, let me tell you that it might come as a shock when you cry for the first time before someone (as they are not accustomed to it). But, then they will get used to it and will know how to react.
