21 Signs That You Are Dating A Narcissist

The word narcissism has many connotations; anyone who vaguely puts themselves before others or shows signs of selfishness is often given this label. Leading us to believe that Narcissism is a personality disorder and those who suffer from it can be parasitic to live with. Their ego requires constant gratification, and they feel they are superior in every way over others.

Dating a narcissistic person can be purely poisonous for one's mental health. They often manipulate people to forge a bond with them and then use it for their purpose. A person suffering from this disorder has no empathy for others and only sees others as a tool. This kind of personality order is also called a spectrum disorder and has no cure, but its symptoms can be diminished. The most important thing though is to be aware that you are dating a narcissist and that can be ascertained if he/she has most of the below-mentioned traits:

#1. The most important quality is his/her lack of accountability. A narcissist will never take the blame for the wrong he/she does and instead shift it to the other person.

#3. Another problem of dating a narcissist partner is that he/she will never acknowledge you as a person or accept your individualistic traits. Instead, they will always worry about how this would reflect on them and their standing in the society.

#11. If your partner constantly lies and is extremely manipulative, then that is a red signal of a narcissistic personality.

#12. If they narrate different versions of the same story to different people, note that keeping to the honest side of the story is hard for such a person. Thus, they will change the narrative with every person as they speak as they can’t keep up with their lies.

#13. They have a shallow understanding of people they say are close to them. They emphasize on their take on every relationship rather than caring about the affection of other people.
