Light Turner is a bright student, stumbles across a mystical notebook that has the power to kill any person whose name he writes in it. This is a film that had a lot of potential pitfalls. The visuals of the movie are another highlight. It’s a damn pretty flick. Death Note’s characters tend to bleat out their innermost feelings in bursts of forced exposition, but those feelings aren’t always reflected in their actions.
