Do some great things to make this Diwali memorable

“Before you can transform your wallet from poor to rich, you’ve got to transform your spirit from poor to rich. “ ~ Robert Kiyosaki

Hey, guys , the most awaited festival of the year is almost round the corner and I know you all have made a lot of plans that you want to execute on the D-day. Yes, I know Diwali is the festival of lights, and bright colours, and a lot of sweets being made by your mum at home. And to top it all it is the gathering of families that is a great aspect of the Indian traditions, which is duly fulfilled on the occasions of our auspicious festivals.

Of course, you are most welcome to celebrate this very beautiful festival in your own way, but what if we present you a bucket of full of list of some very enticing ideas?

So here are some of the things that can add feathers to your cap if you do them but with a twist in the tale

1. Go Vegan

Of course, you can celebrate Diwali in a much-happening manner if you quit the non-vegetarian diet, that you have been planning to do for a while. And more than your mind, your body will be more thankful to you for relieving it of the burden. So go vegan this Diwali!

2. Plant a sapling

This Diwali let us not make more and more pollution by cracking and bursting big crackers, but try to plant a tree which can give you and your coming generations some amount of fresh oxygen.

A Chinese proverb goes,”The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is now.” And if you are in your twenties, this could be an aspiring dream for you, to plant as many trees as you can now, so that you can reap their benefits at a later stage of life.

Trust me mother earth will be much more thankful to you for making the earth a better place to live in.

3. Spend your Diwali evening with street kids

Yes, every Diwali you spent thousands of rupees in bringing the crackers which provide you with nothing more than a bunch of harsh noises and an air full of pollution.

Spend your Diwali evening with some of the street kids, bring them gifts, which could be useful to them ,such as sweets, a box of pencils, a box of crayons and a drawing book to colour their dreams on, a good restaurant’s meal. And the most important present that you can give them could be your smile, your kindness, your benevolence and a little bit of love.

I guarantee you will cherish these memories for a lifetime. And not just for the selfie sake do it because you want to do it.

4. Detoxify your body

Yes, detoxification your body is a must in all forms much more if it is during the festive seasons when you put in a lot of sweets and carbs and fats in your digestive system.

Drink a lot of detoxifying drinks. Like you can take, a glass of aloe vera juice early in the morning which will keep your digestive system at par with you all throughout the day. Keep replenishing your body with coconut water which is full of potassium and other beneficial minerals.

Amla juice is a great detoxifier if taken early in the mornings. Plus it is rich in vitamin C and is a great remedy for anti-aging.

5. Stay disconnected

Don’t worry I am not asking you not to come out of your room whole of the day, nor am I asking you not to meet the relatives and visitors coming to your house.

If possible stay disconnected from the social networking media this day as far as possible. Social networks , such as facebook, WhatsApp, tinder, or Instagram , twitter whatever it may be, try to stay off on these sites if only for a day.

Your parents will be much more happy that their son/daughter is spending the evening with them and wholeheartedly!

6. Give your mum and dad a special gift

Whole of the lives your parents have spent to make your life special, now it must be the time that you make your parents feel special. And even if you achieve some great achievement, then even that would be very special to make your parents proud.

7. Say no to firework!

Fireworks and crackers add immensely to the air pollution and render the atmosphere full of harmful particles. Such an atmosphere is very unfit for breathing. And the old persons, children, animals, are very much affected by such kind of pollution. So I urge you all to render this Diwali pollution free in which we can have a clear air to breathe in. Of course, you must be having several other ways to show off your wealth, then why to render the air full of pollution.

8. Make a yummy breakfast

Make a healthy and special breakfast this day and keep your mum free of the doing this daily chore. This activity will also indulge a creativity and kick-start your day on a special and energetic note. Thus make a diwali special breakfast this day!

9. Wake up to see the sunrise

On Diwali at least try to wake up before the sunrise and you will find a special energy and a great vibe in your daily routine only if you wake up before the sunrise. Plus it will give you an extra time to make special arrangements for the Diwali evening, plus soak in the warm and soothing sunshine will make you feel much better and give you your Vitamin D dose for the day.

10. Take a walk in your colony

It might have been quite a few years since you started running doing your chores on your bike. This Diwali morning, go on a walk around your neighbourhood, just to see how your neighbours are doing, just to see how your colony has grown and developed in the recent years. If nothing you will definitely remember your early childhood days, when you used to run around the colony with your mates! And a healthy morning jog will be complementary!

And I would like to quote a very interesting and inspiring quotation from Thoreau here to sum it all up:

“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you’ve imagined.” ~ Thoreau
