Instagram has a video feature but it used to accept the video of 15 seconds or less. Since Instagram wanted to bring more creativity and fun into the site, they soon changed it. Now the length of the video can be up to 1 whole minute. The flexibility increased to 60 seconds.
Now that Instagrammers have enough time to share their stories, it has recorded an increase in users on the app by more than 40 percent.
The whopping 60 seconds are four times longer than it was before. It immensely helped the regular influencers and users on Instagram. The tutorial of beauty bloggers and food bloggers has become so entertaining and informative because of the new improvement in the feature.

As a matter of fact, Instagram wanted to change the quality into a better one even before working on the length of the video. The video feature came in action back in 2013. Videos were not that famous that time. But observing the present requirement Instagram focused more on increasing the time limit.
Also, back then in the Android phones, the videos of Instagram used to get downloaded. That video used to get saved in the multimedia folder by default. More than anything, this was turning into a massive problem.
The change has launched on iOS and Android months back and it has been showing tremendous effects on Instagram. Initially, it was only advertisers who could upload a video of 60 seconds on Instagram. However, now the creatives and influencers also got this privilege to upload the same length of the video. Instagram claimed that they wanted to make the experience for the users more flexible and fun. Therefore, the changes have been made and the viewers are spending more time on Instagram than they ever have.
It is established that now the time people spend on the app is way more than earlier. As Instagram says, ‘longer the videos, more diverse the concept’. Influencers and bloggers have enough time to communicate their idea and information through the video now. The video of 60 seconds is perfect for Instagram users as it optimizes the viewership metrics and is creating a massive impact on the growth of the app.

More than anything, it keeps the users in the feed. This is certainly the main concern as far as Instagram users are concerned. A study has shown that even in a 4 min video, people usually stay till 1 minute before tailing off. Therefore, the one-minute long video concept makes sense perfectly. Instead of risking the viewership by providing a highly long video, Instagram played safe with an accurate length of the 1-minute long video. It provides absolute freedom to the users to freely describe whatever they like.
Videos are increasingly important to Instagram as because of the recent update the app could hit over 400 million active monthly users. Since Instagram revamped its “Explore” tab and the “video Feature” last summer, there is no looking back from there. From bloggers to celebrities, extreme athletes to artists everyone has an active place on Instagram. Nowadays, Instagram has become an informative search tool as well as perfect for the live feed.
