You can now sell goods as individual on Amazon too. The portal has come up with this service which allows individuals to sell their products on it. However, the service is only currently available in Bangalore and once you list and are manage to sell the product through Amazon, the company will offer its services for packing, collection, and delivery of the product.
If you wish to sell any product, you need to go to sell as individual page in the first step. Fill a form and list the product to be sold. City selector is available in the drop down menu but it only lists Bangalore as the only city available, as of now.
Probable buyers can see the product, like it and buy it if they like it. Once the product is sold, Amazon will get in touch with you through your email id and arrange for all the logistic needs. If however, the customer returns the product, Amazon will send it back to you at no charge.
Amazon will transfer the amount to you once the sale is done but will keep a minimal amount as processing fee.
The service charges too are minimal and if you wish to sell goods worth Rs 1000/- Amazon will charge only Rs 10. For products worth Rs 5000/- this fee will be Rs 50/- only.
