Where is Belize?

We live on a planet that is so diverse. Where Is Belize?

It is an independent country. It is situated in Central America. It falls on the western edge of the Caribbean Sea. It is a very small English speaking country and is situated below Mexico, to the north of Honduras, and the east of Guatemala. It was previously known as British Honduras.

There are some myths about this country that are false and you need to know them:

#1. People tend to think this is an island. This is far from the truth. Belize is a part of the Central American mainland. But, this country has many gorgeous islands off its coast. But this country itself is not an island.

#2. There is often a miss understanding regarding the exact location of this country. Most people think it is situated in South America. This is far from the truth. This country is located in Central America. It's hard to say exactly which part it can be included in, in North or South America, because Central America is not considered to be a part of any continent.

#3. There is a myth that Belize is a part of Honduras. This is a complete miss conception. In the olden times, Belize was a colony called British Honduras. But in the modern times, Belize is no more a part of the country Honduras; the funny thing is they do not even share a common border.

What Is Popular In Belize?

#1. Water sports are one of the most popular activities to do when you choose to visit Belize. Cayes and Belize reef are the two places you can choose from. These two are ideal places for doing water sports. You can engage in sailing, scuba diving, windsurfing, swimming, fishing, and snorkeling.

#2. When in Belize you should definitely go hiking. Hiking is one of the most recommended activities for this country. Considering the fact that there are the mountains all around for you to enjoy, not going for hiking will be a complete loss
