While planning for your Christmas party ideas, make sure that those ideas are interesting enough to cheer up your tired and exhausted employees. Follow these tips if you wish to become everyone’s favorite host for organizing the year’s best Christmas party.

#1. Take The Party Outside The Office

Take this year’s Christmas party outside the walls of your office. You can opt for the adjoining terrace or maybe the nearby lawn that comes for free (no budget issues). Hosting the company Christmas party at a new venue will make the event irresistible.

#2. Switch To Daylight

While most of us believe that late evenings or night parties are the most fun, if you are looking for something new then we would recommend a luncheon over a dinner. Luncheons are more casual, relaxing and definitely less on alcohol. It can prevent the unwanted alcohol driven awkward situations.

Ditch the usual sit-around-somewhere-and-eat party and go for some unusual themes like disc golf, skating or bowling party. These ideas are fun and won’t bother your budget too.

#4. Make It A Family Affair

Ask the employees to bring in their families along. Staff members will love to attend the parties if they can bring in their spouses along. New faces will lead to new conversations and will make the party quite interesting. Plan activities and games that will involve the entire family.

#5.  Mix Up The Guest List

A Christmas party is supposed to be an upbeat event, and not another boring get together. There’s not much to do when you get to see the same faces at a party. Invite your staff’s families and other business associates to add some new flavor to the event. Hosting an open house with a purpose, such as a fundraiser event is a classic example of company Christmas party idea.

I believe that throwing a cheap Christmas party is easy. All you need for a party is booze, food and music and all those things are pretty inexpensive. To save a little more, you can move the Christmas party to your home if you are a manager and like to keep things intimate at work. This can save you money on decorations as you do not have to spend separately on making your office christmasy. You must be decorating your home in the spirit of Christmas so no more expenditure on lights and all.
How about a day off to do Christmas shopping? This will save a lot of money. Let’s be honest, not everyone is into the office Christmas party and most people are only waiting for it to get over so they can head home and enjoy the real party with their family. So why not let them do this instead? This is a win-win for everybody. You can save money and everybody is happy because they got to do what they actually wanted to.
Another idea from the top of my head is organizing games that employees as a group can enjoy. If people have something to enjoy, it will take their mind off from food and booze and that will perhaps some money for you. Also, games are inexpensive and give your team a good opportunity to get to know each other and bond.
Also, how about going outside somewhere? Is there a baseball game around the Christmas time? You can have a consensus on what everyone wants to do for Christmas. If they want to go out for a game or they want to have a party at workplace? This is a great way to do something different this year and drop those cliché Christmas party ideas.
