Critics Review

It's the late spring of 1983 in the north of Italy, and Elio Perlman (Timothée Chalamet), a gifted 17-year-old American-Italian, spends his days in his family's seventeenth century manor deciphering and playing traditional music, perusing, and playing with his companion Marzia (Esther Garrel). Elio appreciates a cozy association with his dad (Michael Stuhlbarg), a prominent professor gaining practical experience in Greco-Roman culture, and his mom Annella (Amira Casar), an interpreter, who support him with the products of high culture in a setting that floods with characteristic enjoyments. While Elio's refinement and scholarly endowments propose he is as of now a completely fledged grown-up, there is much that yet stays honest and unformed about him, especially about issues of the heart. One day, Oliver (Armie Hammer), an enchanting American researcher taking a shot at his doctorate, touches base as the yearly summer assistant entrusted with helping Elio's dad. In the midst of the sun-doused magnificence of the setting, Elio and Oliver find the powerful excellence of enlivening want through the span of a mid year that will change their lives for eternity.
