Writing a good article is an art which can be mastered by following few key points elaborated below.
Do a detailed and sensible research on your topic. The topic you write should be on interesting topic or issue and preferably it should cover a current or a trending issue.
Do research on topic by reading books, magazines, blogs etc. Make sure that your topic is comprehended from every aspect. This will improve the article quality.
The language of your article should be clear and understandable for the readers. A barrier to all readers is confusing or unclear writing style. The formula is to begin with introduction or overview, explanation of the idea in the main body and review of ideas at the end.
Do not include irrelevant information. Try to stick to the main point. As much as the content is different from the main idea, the people tend to forget it. Slang and jargons should be avoided.
Target audience should be reached. People's areas of expertise, even if they have the same level of education or intelligence should be taken into account. Cultural and gender differences can also play a role in defining a target audience. Audience's characteristics should be kept in mind and written accordingly.
Try to use positive words rather than negative words. For example, instead of writing "Don't forget to water the flowers.", you should write "Remember to water the flowers."
The introduction and conclusion part should be clear as well. It should not leave the readers with tons of confusions or questions

The font size and format should be readable and look attractive to the readers. For example: Try to include bullet points, make the headings and important keywords bold, italics and underline. Write paragraphs of smaller lengths.
Try to add as infographics or illustrations to explain the concept. This helps the readers to easily understand the topic.
The article content should be original and unique. The article should be written in own words as far as possible. Chunks of content taken from different sources should not be directly copied to form an article. Plagiarism should not be there. Plagiarism means when a writer deliberately uses someone else’s language, ideas, or other original material.
