Are these reality shows a waste of time?

Reality shows are nothing but a mere waste of time. People are now habitual of them especially women’s and like to watch in their leisure time. These reality shows to entertain people no doubt but is also giving a wrong impact on their minds and somewhere or the other responsible for almost half of the problems in their lives.

The word “Reality” means real, the thing which is happening. But in the case of these reality shows, everything is going unreal. Then for what reason they are using this word reality into it? Most of the shows on television are now fake; they don’t even have sense in them. Mostly are now paid, pre-planned and totally fake. Take the example of “big boss”, a mere fake show where everything is planned and scripted, even the winner.

People shout, fight, love, argue in this show for no reason. For me watching these types of the show which are pre-planned is a waste of our time. I guess, these types of shows promote anger, fights and cast a negative impact on audience’s mind. People acknowledge the ways of fighting and shouting at others. You just have to waste your time sitting in front of the “Idiot Box”.

Not only big boss, shows like “Khatron Ke Khiladi” actually promote action. They do warn people not to try those actions at home, but young minds are attracted towards the stunts and things shown in the show. Our serials all that saas bahu stuff, what are they? A person dies once and is reborn I guess at least five or six times and the reason for their change of face is plastic surgery. I mean, what the hell is going on. 

It’s like watching a circus where a Joker has so many faces and entertains his audience just to make them laugh. These serials are nothing but teaching the tantrums and the tricks how a saas has to control his bahu and the tricks how a guy has to impress a girl. Shows like “Emotional Attyachaar”, are not saving a relationship, but is the cause of most break ups today. Serials are purely unreal.

These reality shows are totally a waste of time as well as our mind. Young minds are the first to get into their impact and start acting according to the shows they see. Women’s are so addicted to them that they now don’t have time for anybody around them. 

They know when their favorite show is about to come and are bounded by time. People should watch those shows from which they can gain something, not lose. Channels like Discovery, all news channels likewise are the ones who promote us in our lives, get habitual to them instead of these fake reality shows. These reality shows are mere fantasy, not reality.
