Any company would want their employees to be well versed and highly talented. Still, there are companies who would prefer freshers, straight from college who would be trained by the company with a contract of minimum two years.
And this is one of the reasons for companies fearing to train as they are afraid that the employees would leave them and so, they always make sure that there is a contract signed between the two of them.
If we are given an option between trained and untrained professionals, we would go for a well-trained person only, as it is not a joke to take risks, as there is so much investment put in by the company.
But who would require training?
New employees who even if experienced would be unaware of the working aspects and systems of the new company. Therefore, any new employee would need training from someone who would have mastered the working pattern.
Importance of training:
1. As training and development go hand in hand, it is very mandatory that the new employees are well trained so as not to waste time, skills, money, etc.
2. With proper training, the employee’s new skills can be brought out and existing ones can be altered from better to best, which would increase the productivity of the company.
3. An untrained employee would not know about the working aspects and the ideologies and therefore would waste time and energy as the working pattern would be of trial and error pattern of functioning. If it clicks, it is a hit, but there are always chances of flops, which cannot be entertained.
4. With proper training, the employees would shine and we can be sure that their performance would reach a peak in due course. What more can a company want than the best-performing employees?
5. A well-trained employee would be well confident without any inhibitions.
6. The employees who have been well trained do not need help and supervision of other experienced coworkers. They become independent.
7. When a new technology is introduced in the market, the employees should be made aware of it so that they are always up to date in their technical as well as general knowledge.
8. A well trained professional very easily masters the job and gets promoted to higher posts very easily than an untrained employee.
9. Before giving a promotion to an employee, again proper training about that position is a must for him/her so that they as well as the company does not suffer.
10. As a result, productivity would improve three-fold and the company would become a roaring success, after all, the backbone of any firm is their employees.
The impact that a proper training would have on the employee, as well as the company, is enormous. Hence, it is very important that any employee for that matter, be a fresher or an experienced one, always needs training.
Therefore, the importance of training the employees is always considered as very important and it is the “need of the time,” as one of the reasons for many companies to end up a failure is untrained employees.
