Critics Review

It doesn't talk very of a comic drama when one of its lead performers declining to do much real comic shtick considers a break. Father Figures might be to a great extent unfunny, in that few of its jokes work and they are given a tremendous, 113-minute spread in which to not work, but rather, at any rate, Ed Helms isn't playing another forcefully endeavoring, anxious-to-please aloof forceful dork. Subside (Helms) is all the more a downbeat, unsatisfied, typical dork, with a disinterested youthful child and a general boredom he unconvincingly credits to not knowing his own father.
