How to Deal with Malicious Rumors in Office?

It's been quite a while that I have joined a new workforce where I'm assuming the role at a higher management level and lately, there have been several rumors aired about me. I have a few close associates and managing teams in my capacity, however, some nasty rumors are spreading like fire under my nose. It often hampers my professional life albeit I try to stay calm and positive when objected to being the laughing stock behind my back.

Ignore them, stay away from them. People talk, you are not supposed to mind too much.

The best way to deal with rumors at the workplace is to speak about them. First of all, collect all the rumors people are spreading about you and address all your colleagues about it. tell them politely that such rumors affect your work and that when you respect everyone you deserve it back from them.

Simple. Just ignore them.
