Road transportation is all set to be redefined in coming years.
If all goes well, Modi’s high-speed transportation 'Hyperloop' is all set to become a reality. The United States based company which is piloting the idea of high-speed transportation is in talk with Government of India to implement the same.
If and when implemented, the journey time from Delhi to Mumbai via Jaipur can be covered in a time of 55 minutes only.
The concept of Hyperloop is based on the fact that travel is done in tubes where a pod-like vehicle travels at a speed which is more than that of a plane. The 'Hyperloop system' is environmentally safer and these tubes can go above the ground or can run beneath the surface of Earth. The danger of grade crossing is also eliminated in case of Hyperloop system. Grade crossing which is a common cause of the accident in case of Railways is also eliminated in Hyperloop travel. This system of travel is quiet and very energy efficient.
The company behind this idea is based in California and is in discussion with Government of India for some probable Hyperloop routes. The Hyperloop One Vision For India which was convened recently was attended by Railways Minister Mr Suresh Prabhu and Amitabh Kant who is the CEO of Niti Aayog.
