Life On Mars: Elon Musk & His Vision To Make Humans A Multi-Planetary Species

If not for Earth, are you ready to stay on Mars? The million dollar question, that seemed nothing less than a dream before, is soon going to become a reality. SpaceX entrepreneur Elon Musk published a paper in the Space Journal that speaks of his views on colonization of the red planet and shared his vision to make humans a multi-planetary species.

After showing the dream of a possible visit to Mars, the entrepreneur has now ignited hopes in the mind of the travelers about colonizing the planet. Interestingly, the surface gravity of Mars is about 37 percent of that on Earth.

To what he terms as a ‘backup drive’ for civilization, the billionaire entrepreneur is optimistic about human race settling on the red planet and expanding the race there. As a matter of fact, Elon Musk has even shared the designs of the gigantic spacecraft that can carry up to 100 people and hopes to construct it soon.

While the ship may take a while, he tried to analyze the current situation of the people who want to go and the people who can afford to go to Mars with the help of Venn diagrams. The statistical tool draws a clear demarcation between the segments, making this trip an ultimate goal for many. With this, Elon Musk states that although his vision to create a fully sustained civilization of about one million people would take 40-100 years, he needs to first comfort the first pioneers who are willing to travel to Mars.
