The Stray recounts the genuine story of how a stray canine, "Pluto," appears unexpectedly and impacts the Davis family, who are battling from multiple points of view. In only a brief span, Pluto the "wonderdog" figures out how to spare a little child, convey solace and brotherhood to a stinging 9-year-old kid, help reestablish a marriage, and repair a broken father-child relationship.
