1. Li-Fi engages light waves-

In other to transmit information, Li-Fi will engage the light waves and is therefore also called as light-based communication technology.

The world is gradually making a move towards complete digitalization thereby making the radio spectrum overloaded. How will light technology help? It will aid as it is available in plenty, it is free and unlicensed and will mitigate the radio frequency spectrum crunch effect.

Li-Fi is believed to be the future of internet connections and connectivity and will be responsible for enabling faster as well as reliable internet connections. It will also support internet connectivity in the environments it does not support so readily( example Aircraft cabins)

While Light is already engaged for data transmissions in fibre-optic cables and point to point links, its engagement in future will be special and novel and will allow mobile ultra high-speed internet communications.
