Beware of Hand Sanitizers: They Can Be Very Harmful for Children

Germs and other harmful bacteria insects play havoc with our life. 

We need to make conscious efforts to stay and remain healthy. The most exposed part of human body to any such infection is the hand. They are used for almost all activities which humans perform, including eating the food.

It is where the role of hand sanitizers comes in use. It is used to ensure that our hands remain clean and we are to the best of our health, all the time. Not only the adults but the children also use these hand sanitizers on regular basis.

A recent report has however revealed shocking details on the use of sanitizers, especially when it comes to their use by children. It has been found that children get tempted to swallow some substances which are present in the hand sanitizer.

This happens as most of these are scented and children get tempted to swallow the same. This can lead to dangerous consequences and the children can suffer from abdominal pain, nausea and in rare cases can go in a coma also.

These hand sanitizers are two types, one which is alcohol based and the others have a non-alcohol base. Children in the age group 6-12 were found to have exposure to alcohol based sanitizers which can be detrimental to their health.
