How Often Should You Wash Your Hair?

#. Hair Type

The number of times you wash your hair depends on their texture. Thicker or curlier hair can go without washing for a long time as compared to fine straight hair that needs to be washed quite often.

#. Oil

Oil is one of the major reasons behind hair washing. Oily hair looks disgraceful because of the hair limps that greasy surface creates. Teenagers and adults produce excess amounts of oil in comparison to children and older people, and therefore require regular hair washing.

You will want to wash your hair more frequently if you sweat a lot? Working out also causes sweating, and therefore requires regular hair wash.

How Often Should You Wash Curly Hair?

#. Fine Curly Hair

Fine curls require the hair to be washed regularly because even a little amount of oil can make them look heavy and limp. Use a gentle shampoo to rinse the oil off.

#. Medium Thick Curly Hair

If you have medium curls, then you can wash them every two or three days in a week. A small amount of oil will make them look better; therefore no regular washing is required.

Rinse your hair with water and massage your scalp to sustain your curls in between regular washing.

No It Does Not

Regular hair washing may lead to hair fall. At the same time, you can do a few things to avoid that if you are compelled to wash your hair every day and do not have an alternative option. Things you can do to avoid hair fall and damage.

#1. You can apply hair oil to the hair before you wash your hair with your shampoo. Apply the oil and leave it for around ten minutes and wash the hair. This will reduce the damage on the hair a little; if not completely rule out the possibility of hair fall.
#2. Use a shampoo that has less chemical in it. The main reason shampoos turn out to be harmful to the hair is because they have high chemical contents in them. If you choose a shampoo that has really less chemical in it, no matter how often you use it, the damage will be less. You can opt for Johnson’s baby shampoo; it is strictly for children, less chemical, and it surely will clean out the dust and dirt.
#3. Apply a proper hair conditioner which has less chemical in it. it will prevent your hair from falling, looking damaged and also keep it soft and smooth.
#4. Apply homemade pack to the hair on a regular basis. This can be made with natural ingredients including egg, lemon juice, curd, henna Etc.
Although we know the fact that applying shampoo on a regular basis can prove to be harmful to the hair, sometimes we are not left with a choice. People, who work out every day or live in areas that lead to too much sweat accumulating in the hair each day, need to clean the hair on a regular basis. In such a case, the above options can prove to be very helpful and also save your hair from being severely damaged.
