How to achieve the 'no make-up look' using make-up?

There are many perks of flaunting an ‘au naturel’ look. It holds well in summer days, it’s suitable for outdoors, it feels lighter on the skin and more importantly a fresh looking face never goes out of fashion.

If you’ve been wondering all this while, here’s how to pull off the ‘no make-up look’ using make-up effortlessly:

Step One: Start with a clean face

Start with hydrated skin. Remove your previous makeup if any and rinse off your face well.

Step Two: Apply a moisturiser and even out your skin tone

Use a tinted moisturiser or BB cream to level up your skin tone. Working with nude shades and matching the natural colour of your skin is the key to master this look.

Step Three: Conceal the flaws

Lightly apply concealer only to the eyes (to cover dark circles) and patchy areas that really need it. Try to bring out a natural radiance by ironing out the dark/patchy skin shades.

Step Four: Define your eyes, cheeks and lips

Define your eyes, cheeks and lips using a blended colour palette consisting primarily of nudes, baby pinks and peaches. To fabricate a natural look, apply blush only to the apples of your cheeks.

Step Five: Finishing touches

Lightly touch up your brows with an eyebrow pencil. Curl your brows (if required) subtly to perk up that fresh look. Finish off by lightly dusting illuminating powder on the high sections of your face. If you prefer, lightly spray your face with a ‘makeup-setting’ spray to warrant longevity of the look.

For best results, work on your skin and makeup in daylight. This is the best indicator of actual color applied. And preferably mount your mirror near a window to make the best use of daylight.

Let your hair down and allow your face to shine on. If you haven’t already, try this look today.
