How to Attract Positivity?

We must know the importance and necessity of positivity in our lives. A positive mind and a positive environment can make an individual’s life effortless. All the problems and sufferings will vanish if you keep a positive outlook. The magic of positivity is such that it can cure a disease and save the person. A study from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health says that having an optimistic outlook on life may help people live longer. According to the study, women who were optimistic had lesser risks of dying from major diseases like cancer, heart disease, stroke, respiratory disease, and infection. Can there be a more prominent benefit of positivity?

While positivity has such miraculous advantages, negativity, on the other hand, damages a person’s life. There is a new philosophy called the law of attraction. The law of attraction is a belief that by focusing on the positive or the negative thoughts, a person brings positive or negative experiences in their life. A person attracts what they think and the faith they hold. If a person is hopeful that they will clear the interview, the chances are that they will get a positive response if they interviewed with a positive attitude but if there were fear and doubt, then the response will be a negative one. So, a person who thinks negatively will attract negativity. Though the law of attraction has no scientific basis, a lot of people still believe in this school of thought. The way you think about someone and the way you make judgments speak a lot about your character. When you talk to people about a third person, they can analyze what kind of a person you may be. And you will attract the same type of people as the kind of image you portray of yourself. Do you want to be in a bad company? Do you want to be surrounded by people who wish for your misfortune? It is significant, therefore, to be the type of person you want to attract. Let us observe how to attract positivity.

#1. Wake Up With Positive Thoughts 

What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning? What is your first thought? How you begin your day is the way you will live it the whole day. If you begin with a negative thought like with a fear regarding an event you have to attend or waking up agitated because you are late for work then your whole day will be filled with anxiety and aggression. Your fear of the meeting will not leave until the meeting is over and due to the apprehension you will end up making a mistake that you were trying to avoid the whole time. It is important that you start your day with a positive thought. Think that the meeting is going to be smooth and you will be appreciated. You can think that you are going to have a good day and you will enjoy the day because your energies will be positive. Affirm to yourself with positive words. Use more of “I will,” “I can,” “Yes,” “something good is happening,” and so on.

#2. Control Negative Emotions

Each one of us feels a variety of emotions that are a reaction to the surroundings and situations of our life. There are some positive emotions like joy, gratitude, hope, pride, amusement, love, awe, and inspiration and then there are some negative emotions like sorrow, hopelessness, vanity, hatred, etc. Positive emotions help you build a positive outlook towards life. They encourage you to do better and succeed whereas the negative emotions narrow your mind and focus your thoughts on the wrong aspects of life. It attracts you towards the evil by shutting off the outside world and limiting the options you see around you. Control the negative emotions and thoughts. Do not allow the spark to turn into a fire. Learn to control your negative emotions wisely. 

#3. Avoid Dishonest Company

The people you surround yourself with also decide what kind of energy you attract. If the people around you are dishonest and liars, then you will never attract positivity. Subsequently, you will become one of them, and it will be too late to save yourself. Choose your friends wisely because friends can influence you. It is observable that friends in a group behave and think similarly despite cultural and familial backgrounds. The way of dressing up and the way of speaking becomes a common ground for all the friends. In school, kids are advised to choose friends wisely for this very reason.

#4. Go With The Flow

If you try to struggle with your life, you will never achieve serendipity. Keep fighting with the things you have for the things you want, and you will never find anything good happening to you. Your fate will give you opportunities to succeed, but your fight with life for something you think is better for you may not fetch you any profits. Understand it as a plan. There will be some reason behind everything you ever get in your life. Hence, go with the flow. Accept what you have received and be grateful for it. It will be for your best.

#5. Heal Your Wounds

We all get injured at some point in time of our lives, and it takes a long time to heal ourselves. Some injuries give so much of pain that you lose hopes for the future. People stop believing in the good thinking that it does not exist anymore which is not true. It is just that they stop seeing the good in people. It is important to heal yourself first if you want to attract positivity. Let go of things that have hurt you in the past. Holding on them will never do justice to you. Start living in the present and think about the future.

#6. Create A Positive Karmic Account

A person will always attract the deeds they do. What you plant is what you reap. You will have to pay for your actions. Be good to others, and you can attract good energy, but if you misbehave or disrespect someone, then you will get disrespected in return. Help other people selflessly and be more humane. Even if someone has done wrong to you be nice to them. Do not act like the other person because if you do, you will create a wrong karmic account for yourself.

#7. Visualize A Positive Life

The power of visualization is not unknown to us. A lot of people including famous celebrities have attested to the fact that positive visualization helps in attracting positivity. Whatever they visualize comes true because their positivity attracted more positivity. Start visualizing lifelike images of the things you desire in your life like a big home and a successful life. It should be detailed, and it could be however you want it to be. You can imagine the kind of people you want to attract or the kind of person you want to be with. For example, you could imagine yourself to be an attractive person with confidence reaching heights of success.
