Now, let us tell you how to make this sumptuous dish:
#1. First Step
So, the first step involves changing the color of white color rice to brown by cooking it in vegetable oil over a relatively high heat. When the color of the rice changes into white and golden then you are ready to take the next move which includes putting in all the elements required to make the dish.
#2. Second Step
Once it is boiled, then cover it up and lower the heat. Try covering it with a transparent lid since you can see with ease when the rice is done. And all it takes is 20 minutes for the dish to get ready! If there is still some amount of liquid in the pan even after twenty minutes, just let it cook until all the water is absorbed up by the rice. After seeing the fluffiness of the rice in the pan and let it rest for some minutes. Voila! You are ready to serve to your guests. You could also add vegetables of your choice to your rice according to the taste you hold. Some vegetables such as peas, carrots and chicken and others can be added for a great taste.
TIP: Try using a nonstick pan for cooking the rice. The rice will never stick to the pan in that case.
Ingredients Required:
• 2 tablespoons Vegetable or Canola Oil
• 1 cup dry long-grain white rice
• 1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
• 16 ounces warm water
• 1 teaspoon chili powder
• 2 teaspoons Calde de Tomate (tomato bouillon)
• 2 teaspoons minced garlic (about 2 cloves)

Some Vital Instructions:
If you do not have the required ingredients, then you can always use replacements to cook your dish:
#1. If you are unable to get fresh garlic and onions in hand, then you could use the equivalent in the powder form. Add garlic and/or onion powder at the same time as the broth and tomato puree instead of sauteeing them.
#2. Also keep in mind that the tomato puree you use could be made at home or be canned ( often known as tomato sauce) which depends on availability as well apart from personal choice. Though. Several other forms of tomato sauce will also work: unseasoned whole or stewed tomatoes, chopped tomatoes, and others. Canned chopped tomatoes with chilies (Rotel brand or similar) or a jarred salsa can also be used.
#3. To get an even better taste, use superb quality pork lard instead of using vegetable oil.
