Air pollution is a serious health risk which we usually ignore. Beginning from a simple cough and nausea, air pollution can change into a complex problem and can cause serious problems, including death in rare cases where a person is exposed to air pollution on a regular basis and for a longer duration of time.
Prevention lies in your hand and if you wish to avoid getting impacted from air pollution or its impacts, you should take the following precautions.
When the temperature is on the higher side, air quality is at its lowest. If you can avoid moving out in extreme heat, it should be done. You will spare yourself from many air pollution ill effects if you avoid being in the heat, all the while.

If possible, walk on the side of the road or in the biking lane as it tends to get polluted in the middle of the road. This, however, does not mean that you should avoid driving or crossing the road as needed. You should only be cautious and should take paths which pass through less polluted areas.
If you are exercising on a smog filled a day and you eyes pain, it is better to give up the exercise schedule rather than being in some kind of trouble.
