Bob Dylan Awarded Nobel Prize in Literature

US singer Bob Dylan, became an informal historian of America's troubles, on Thursday became the first songwriter to win the Nobel Prize for Literature.

His fans feel his lyrics make him a greater poet than a musician.

According to music director Prabuddha Banerjee, Dylan is a greater poet than a musician. "The beauty of Bob Dylan lies in the fact that in his writings, the line between lyrics and poetry got blurred. If somebody with the right kind of expressions reads out his lyrics, he will create an experience of similar intensity as his songs."

Years ago Bob Dylan shocked the music world by plugging in an electric guitar and alienating folk purists.

May be
A person who has not listened to his songs can only ask such a question. He dwells in both; a good poet and a musician.
