Is parenting an essential element for better performance of a child?

Upbringing is one of the most crucial parts of a child’s growing-up years.

Parenting plays a vital role in boosting the morale of a child. Reports suggest that children with actively involved parents tend to perform better than their counterparts with little or no involvement. The presence of either or both parents boosts a child’s confidence and knocks down any fears of failure.

These children tend to succeed more knowing that there is a support system in place. Even in the event of failure, the parents ensure that the child’s confidence does not break.

Children parents with actively involved parents tend to grow up into healthier adults. They’re inclined to be more studious and have stronger communication skills. Children with involved parents tend to be more disciplined than their counterparts. In spite of the cushion of support, children with involved parents surprisingly tend to become more independent faster than their counterparts.

Both the parents of a child tend to possess a host of unique as well as common skills. Children of such actively involved parents are likely to develop a range of skills given the diversity of the same between the mother and the father.

 Given today’s day and age, the hectic lifestyles don’t allow parents to spend enough time with their children. And to make up for their absence, parents hire nannies for their children or leave their children at the creche during their working hours.

But it does little to the development of their children during those crucial growing years where parents should ideally be more involved. These early years are the formative years of a child, and ignorance on part of the parents can have lifelong ramifications.
