ISRO's Most Powerful Rocket GSLV Mk III Places GSAT-19 In Space

Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has created another remarkable moment for the country. The organization that launched 104 satellites in a single mission has once again achieved another feat by launching 3,136 kg communication satellite GSAT-19 aboard its heaviest rocket GSLV Mk-III D1 also known as 'Fat Boy'.

The launch took place at 5:20 pm IST from the second launch pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. This achievement is significant for ISRO also because it broke the organization’s jinx of being unable to succeed in maiden rocket launches.

The Prime Minister and President of the nation congratulated the entire team Of ISRO and its valiant efforts that have put India in a global market of heavy lift launches. According to an ecstatic ISRO chief A S Kiran Kumar, the team had tirelessly worked for the launch since 2002.
