Are you suffering from a back ache? Does your shoulder feel stiff after a hard day at work? All this might be because of your job that keeps you sitting 8 hours a day. Sitting in front of your computer screens throughout the day causes several health issues.

Obviously, quitting your job isn’t the solution, but making the most of your office hours could be. Money is important, but so are you. A healthy mind keeps your mind healthy too. Give this article a read to find out ways to a healthy lifestyle.

#1. Standing Breaks

Standing uses more muscles and burns more calories in comparison to sitting. So, try to stand while you talk on the phone and pace during staff meetings if your boss allows it.

#2. Multitask While At Home

Once inside your house, you are your boss. Everybody gets tired after a hard day at work and tends to lean on their couch to watch some TV. Try multitasking while looking into your TV screen, clean your cupboard, wash your laundry or maybe just walk some steps on your treadmill.

#3. Get Down Early

If you take a bus or train to work, you can stand up while riding, try clenching and relaxing your muscles; if not that, then get down one stop before and walk till your office block. If commuting through private transport, then try to park your vehicle a few blocks far so that you get to walk to your work place.

#4. Walk The Talk

Yes, we all chat through emails while in offices, it helps prevent unnecessary wastage of time. But try to walk to your colleagues to ask your queries. This helps in giving you short walking breaks to loosen out your body.

#5. Afternoon Walks

Got some time left after eating your lunch? Get out of your office, take a little walk before the lunch break is up. Naturally, half day's of work has already stressed you a bit, and a small stroll will help you relax your muscles and will rejuvenate your body to conquer the rest of the day. All Hail Lunch Walks!

#6.Use Stairs, Stay Healthy

Easier said than done. Climbing the stairs to reach office is a tedious task, and nobody wishes to do it. If you are not able to work out before office, then using the stairs is the best way to burn some calories. According to physiologists, climbing stairs for a mere two minutes, five days a week helps burn calories equal to a 36-minute walk. Woah, that’s quite a handful of calories!

#7. Drink Loads Of Water

And finally, drinking a good amount of water, especially in the summer, keeps you hydrated and healthy. Drink ample amounts of water; refill your bottle yourself by walking to the water cooler. A regular intake of water will make you use the washroom which will again give you a walking break.
