We thank you for posting your query on our website. The question you asked is quite interesting. Technology had been developed to save people’s time and efforts but as the technology grew it took over the lives of the humans. We have become dependent on technology for everything, and it has made the people more alone. There a few inventions that made us more alone.
#1. Mobile Phones
With the emergence of mobile phones and its easy availability, people started depending on them. The mobile phones connected the people living at a distance but it made the ones living close more distant. People started spending time on the phone playing games and watching videos that it took them far away from each other. After the rise of social media in our lives, we started making the unknown our friends and the friends unknown. The trend of making hundreds and thousands of friends on social media has made the people forget what real relationships stand for and they run behind materialistic things. People have a long list of friends, but they do not know them personally. What is the benefit of such friends whom you have never met? Whatever we do has to be posted online for others to see but we forget to live in those moments while doing so. Added features every day and newer facilities attract the people towards them making them addicted. Mobile phones have certainly made us lonelier.
#2. Television
Though television was invented for a visual treat, it made us alone. People watch television alone at home while others are out there enjoying their lives. Some people are so addicted to the TV that they start fighting with their loved ones if they do not let them watch it. The first thing they will do is to go back home and turn on the television to watch their favorite show. They would avoid spending time with their friends and family because watching tv is their priority. When a person watches television, he/she gets engrossed in it, and they do not listen to what the other person is saying. A lot of kids ignore and disrespect their parents while watching television. It not only makes you lonely but it has negative effects on your mind. To what extent is this addiction fair? We cannot say. But it certainly makes a person alone.
3. Laptops
If TV and Mobiles are not in question, the third form of invention that made us cherish our alone time and deprived us of community feeling is laptops. If a person is not occupied with their phones or tv sets, they are glued on to the screen of their laptop, watching various entertainment-based programs and documentaries. It's like the humans are obsessed with screens and require one or the other to survive on this planet. This has further contributed to lowering the time spent with others as a family and increased human's dependence on technology for everything.
There are a lot of other technologies that have made humans more alone. We hope that people realize it sooner and we could all live in a harmonious world.

The use of the mobile phone is something that gives us a fake sense of companionship and belonging to this world and people who we are never really going to get to know well in our lifetime. What we are so accustomed to is to looking into all that is possible and are not a part of our world. We tend to look into the pictures that people post and the things they claim to do, but we are no aware of all those people who are really there for us at all times. We do not know the next door neighbor who is possibly going to be really helpful for us when we are feeling lonely or when we need something. But we are in touch with millions of people who do not give a damn about us being alive or not. We simply are stuck to our phone when we have our friend s sitting around us; we are stuck at admiring the lives that other people lead rather that creating that life that we wish to live. We are not aware of the challenges that these people face, the bitterness disguised by those similes and the loneliness wrapped in those exotic clothes. We are just forgetting to pay attention to the real and focusing on all that is so irrelevant.
We have become more and more used to dealing with technology around us. We consider it one of the biggest inventions of man as it has made our life so easy. With technology, you can keep yourself updated about the things that are happening on the other end of the world. It looks like we would have been lost species without the technology connecting us all around the globe. We can see somebody and talk to a person who is otherwise miles away from us. But the question here is whether technology is really bringing us closer to other people or just taking us away from the ones around us. Earlier when I used to travel in a train, all the people around me would be talking with the people sitting next to them and knowing things about them. This was the only means of passing away the time during a long journey. But talking to a stranger has gone out of the question now as we do not need another human to keep us entertained. We can easily open our cell phone and play a game maybe. Technology is reckoned to make us more connected. We can stay in touch with our friends all the time on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. But our cell phones are really getting in the process of real socializing. The technology is only making us more alone. No matter where you are technology is all around you. Now you might be confused how can something that connects you with your friends makes you alone. You spend more time on your smartphone as compared to your own family. We miss the moments that we are in because something else is more interesting on Youtube. We do not enjoy the place where we are. If this was not enough we have Virtual Reality as well that simulates reality for you and brings it to your room. You can play golf right in your bedroom or look at the mountains from your kitchen. You could have had a vacation with your friends or family instead of sitting in the room and enjoying that fake view. Other examples are television, air conditioning, internet and so on. We should, therefore, make sure we make less use of them and be in more human touch than the technology.
