Even though I am a nice and friendly person, most people (including my friends and family members) don't talk to me. No matter what, I am always the odd one out in their conversations. They don't invite me for outings. And I am also excluded from the tea time breaks in office.
So, is it just a false perception that I am nice or is there genuinely something that I can do to influence people and win more friends? Have you ever been in such a situation? Were you able to bring about any kind of change?

You're boring maybe.
You need to find the common topic of interest if you really want to be a part of the group. Try to find some details about that topic so that you have some input too and people find you interesting.
Maybe You are not in the right company. Look for other friends.
