Veteran Bollywood actress, Reema Lagoo died of a cardiac arrest on Thursday morning. She was admitted to Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital after she complained of chest pain. And, at 3:15 am she passed away.
Being the daughter of a Marathi actress, Reema Lagoo too started her career with Marathi theatre. In her almost four-decade-long career span, she is best remembered for playing mother's role in Bollywood blockbusters like Saajan, Maine Pyar Kiya, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Hum Saath Saath, Vaastav and more.

She has also won four Filmfare Awards for Best Supporting Actress.
Reema Lagoo is also known for TV serials such as Tu Tu Main Main and Shriman Shrimati. She was last seen in the role of Dayavanti Mehta in Mahesh Bhatt's TV show Naamkarann.

She was married to Vivek Lagoo, a popular Marathi actor, but the couple separated later. She is survived by a daughter, Mrunmayee, who is also a theatre and film actor-director.
