Tjanet transitioned into a woman when she was 18, after which she went public with her Marie Claire article in 2011. Since then she became a public speaker and have been an active supporter and activist for the transgender community. Before going through the sex reassignment surgery in 2014, Andrej used to model for both men and women clothing. After going under the knife, he changed his name to Andreja and started being recognized as a woman.
