The director Michel Gondry says, “I think animation is a very truthful way to express your thoughts because the process is very direct. That’s what I’ve always liked about animation, particularly abstract animation. You go from the idea to execution, straight from your brain. It’s like when you hear someone playing an instrument, and you feel the direct connection between the instrument and his brain because the instrument becomes an extension of his arms and fingers. It’s like a scanner of the brain and thought the process that you can watch, or hear.”
Animations are lucid and through. It instigates insight in children and they learn to be astute from childhood. It makes them comprehend what is good and evil at a very young age. They will know what is bad and what is upright; as in an animation, the evil is always overcome and the good triumphs. The quirks of life are often appalling but animation provides a portal into the enigmatic world, which enhances and enriches all. It augments the fun in life and delights everyone. The best thing about animation is that it appeals to every age group, be it kid, youth, adult and elderly people.
Many kids become smart through it. They learn new language and vocabulary through it. Animation thus acts a source through which life can be built. It teaches the rights and wrongs of life and teaches kids to act on their own in times of trouble and pressure. They learn to focus on one thing and they learn to take good things in life.
They learn team spirit and the bond of friendship. Their intelligence level escalates and they know a lot about many subjects. Children tend to absorb a lot from animation due to its vivid portrayals and enhancing characters. The colorful and the striking settings in animation illuminate kids and make them enjoy to the fullest.
Kids learn honesty and truth also, through the characters that come in an animation. The characters are made in such a way that they teach something or the other about life to the kids. About animation, Sanhita Baruah says, “In the midst of the vagaries of life, they provide us a trip to the land of goodness and fairies, of imaginations and possibilities. A childhood that wasn't spent watching cartoons or reading comic strips, no wonder, seems too dull to imagine.” Animation helps the kids to understand reality and the imagination world. They learn to imagine lots of creative stuff and through this, they learn to be ingenious.
Animation, thus, provides a lot of positive stuff for kids. They enrich their minds; make them smart and innovative from a young age. It is versatile, straight and delivers a swift way of learning to kids.
