So, here’s the deal, we are always taught to be nice and polite to everyone who comes in our way. We have embraced the wise preachings and followed the principle of being nice with one and all. But, the problem starts when people take an undue advantage of your kindness.
Polite people have an innate feeling of keeping everyone around them content and happy, while the harsh repercussions of being nice might be adverse. Since this world is not meant for good people alone. Being practical and realistic is the sour candy you need to taste now and then, to keep up with the pace of your goodness.
Here’s a list of things that can happen to extremely nice people if they don’t mind their niceness:
#1. No One Will Care About Your Feelings

People will stop about thinking about you, your feelings even your convenience. This is because you have the adjusting attitude about everything. This will make others feel that your opinion will not matter because you will adjust in every situation.
#2. They Will Start Taking You For Granted

Who will not want a person in their life who will never say ‘no’ and is always ready to do whatever they say…right? Hence, people will start taking your advantage and use you.
#3. You Will End Up As A Pushover
Expect people to run over you like a lawn rover. They will not even give a single minute to think what is it that you want (as you being nice will be okay with everything). And you end up doing all things distansteful for others even when you're not being valued for.
#4. Your Priorities Will Change According To Them

Nothing can be as pathetic as this one, changing your priorities for the ones that might matter to you yet the vice-versa won't be true, would you still retain your niceness and taken for granted by being available for them 24*7?
#5. You Will Not Be Nice To Yourself

This is probably the ultimate warning that you should give yourself. Prioritize important people and things that value and matters to you, cut the slack with your oh-so-kind behaviour that will not land you anywhere. (Not on Earth, at least)
#6. You Will Be Labelled ‘BORING’

Just imagine, all this while when you were being nice to those rats, they not only started taking you for granted but also, started thinking of you as a person who is boring! This is high tim for you to abandon such negavity from your life!
#7. You Know That This Is Not You

You will be nice to them thinking that this is the initial phase and you will evolve through it (the acting) eventually and finally get trapped in that time only. It’s like you never got the opportunity to get over the niceness and be who you actually are.
#8. You Might End Up Being Nice To The Wrong People

The worst kind of problem with being nice is when you realize that the people who you are doing it for don’t even deserve it! This includes highly-sensitive and emotional people, the attention-seekers, dogmatics and superior people.
Our advice will be to try to change yourself and become a balanced person to avoid any major hassles in future.
#9. You Will Be Considered Weak

Being too nice to others can cause problems that are serious for your self-esteem. Like they will start questioning whether you will stand for your opinion or not. This might even be related to doubting your self-respect, dignity, and choice.
