Indian National Congress (Congress)

Gujarat Election Round 2 Begins.

It decides the fate of 93 seats across 14 districts of northern and central Gujarat in the second and final phase of assembly elections. Voting in 89 seats happened in the first round on December 9.

Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP)

This is a very predictable judgement that everyone is talking about that BJP can take the thrones this time. People are expecting and hoping BJP to come in lead and congress and other parties following with less than 25% of the votes. Therefore, people are expecting that BJP will win but by more than 70% of the all votes. Expected victory is a huge one but of course, before the election no one can really predict. In this high stake on BJP on the upcoming 2018 election, they are expected and likely to fetch more than 120 seats. Congress is supposed to be bagging with less than 60 seats. BJP is ruling the nation currently and the ‘Modi Image’ is going to help BJP in the upcoming elections a lot. The expectations and predictions says that BJP is going to brush up their game better than the election of 2012 which were the last elections. Now that elections are on head, people are getting very excited and taking part in lot of debates that happening in Gujarat and other parts of nation. Though, constructive are being already made by the public and the new channels but you can never predict it before the election ground.

Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP)

The second round of a pre-poll opinion poll managed by New Delhi-based Lokniti of Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS) with ABP News foretells a healthy triumph for the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Gujarat, where Assembly polls will be held following month. Having persisted out of power for 27 years in the western state, the Congress' plan is to uproot the BJP and secure its control once again. The Congress had won the last election in 1985. Though the Congress failed all the three Assembly elections since 2002 when Modi was the chief minister, the amount of seats it has acquired has observed a constant rise. In 2002, the Congress obtained 51 seats getting 39.3 percent of votes enrolled. In 2007, the number of seats it acquired improved to 59. However, its vote share marginally lowered to 38 percent. The 2012 election saw an additional increase in the number of seats the Congress won. While it got 61 seats, it earned 38.93 percent of votes.
Performing by the drifts, it should not be unusual if the BJP's seats and vote share decrease further and those of the Congress observe an improvement. As far as the electoral surveys are regarded, they show a victory for the BJP. Nonetheless, they too do not provide 150 seats to it.
Also, Shankersing Vaghela declared to leave Congress party and make a third front in ensuing Gujarat assembly elections to be carried in December 2017.
Congress may have given a mighty battle to BJP, had Shankersing Vaghela not dropped Congress. Before Shankersing Vaghela left Congress it was foretold 120 seats for BJP and the remaining 62 for Congress, giving a 10 % margin for variation. But presently after Shankersing’s exit, Congress is at a large disadvantage. Foresight is BJP 152 and Congress 25-27 and 2 or 3 to others.
Modi and his theories are very famous in Gujarat. BJP may revert to government very efficiently and easily. There are anticipations that some new face may be given an opportunity to become CM. On the other hand, Congress party has no credible leaders to propose as CM candidate. While Bharatsing Solanki, Shaktising Gohil, Siddharth Patel and Arjun Modhvadia are the candidates for CM post, there is serious infighting.
Therefore, there are huge chances of BJP winning but it might be Congress this time.

Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP)

Gujarat assembly has 182 seats and in order to win the elections a party should at least win 92 seats. Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) is the currently ruling party in Gujarat and the Indian National Congress is in the opposition. A pre-poll survey suggests that BJP will again sweep the majority of seats and win the Gujarat Assembly elections 2017. According to the opinion poll by Axis-My India for the India Today group, BJP is likely to win 110-125 seats recording victory again.
The Congress in alliance with OBC leader Alpesh Thakor and Dalit activist Jignesh mevani may win 57-65 seats despite a high pitched election campaign by Rahul Gandhi in Gujarat.
According to this poll, the Aam Aadmi Party can bag 0-3 seats which recently announced 11 candidates for the elections. Looks like Prime Minister Modi’s charm is likely to work its magic on the people of Gujarat this time again. Gujarat’s Chief Minister Vijay Rupani is the top choice for the CM’s position with 34 per cent of favorability and Congress MLA Shaktisinh Gohil with 19 per cent of support for the same post in the Gujarat Assembly elections this year.

Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP)

According to the opinion poll by ABP News and Lokniti CSDS, BJP is expected to win the big elections in Gujarat and will do it for the sixth time. What is important to keep in mind is the fact that its victory may not be as grand as it has been for the past six years. We are well aware of the fact that BJP has been a favorite in the Gujarat region and has been winning for the longest time. But, the polls suggest the fact that things are not the same anymore.
This time there is a possibility for them to face a good amount of competition from Congress party that has been making a good amount of effort in bringing about significant changes in this region. What is essential to understand is the fact that due to its contribution to the development of this region and the kind of work they are doing in Gujarat, Congress has won many followers. This is the reason this time BJP may face a good competition in the elections.
Although there is a possibility that they may face  a competition the polls do suggest the fact that BJP is still likely to win the elections this time as well because of their devoted followers in the region.
