Celebrity deaths are always shocking but the death of Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina was all the more devastating. It was because the 22-year-old was in good health and her death was eerily similar to that of her mother Whitney who had died in the same circumstances a couple of years back in February 2012.

Bobby Kristina was the only daughter of starlet Whitney Houston and her former husband Bobby Brown. Just 3 years after the shocking demise of Whitney, Bobbi was found unconscious and face down in a bathtub. The most absurd part about the death was how similar it was to the death of her mother. Bobbi remained in a coma for 7 months after the discovery of her unconscious body on January, 31st, 2015. The reason of her death was then given out to be Lobar pneumonia. This was caused by Hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, long immersion in water along with drug intoxication. Her family blamed her boyfriend Nick Gordon for Bobby’s untimely death. The couple had got engaged just 8 months after the death of Whitney and Bobby was merely 18 years of age.

Bobbi Kristina's Cause Of Death
The autopsy that was done after the death of Bobbi Kristina could not reveal the cause of death primarily because there was a long interval between the discovery of the body and her eventual death. She was heavily under the influence of drugs at the time of her death, and there was a cocktail of drugs found in her system which included marijuana, alcohol (ethanol), benzoylecgonine (a cocaine-related substance), benzodiazepines (medications used for sedation or to treat anxiety), and morphine. It could not be determined that the morphine in the system was because of heroin use. It was unclear whether the death was intentional or it was an accident

Bobbi’s mother Whitney Houston too died in a similar fashion at the age of 48. Accidental drowning caused her death in a bathtub where she was found face-down in a bathtub inside the Beverly Hills Hotel. She too had several drugs in her system which was revealed in the autopsy report.
Was Nick Gordon Responsible For Bobbi Kristina’s Death?
Bobbi had got engaged to Gordon just months after her mother Whitney’s death. The announcement had caused a lot of controversies as Gordon had performed with Whitney a few times and Bobbi referred to him as a brother. Her grandmother Cissy Houston was very unhappy about the relationship and termed it as incestuous, right when the two started dating each other. Though Bobbi later revealed that the couple had gained the approval and the blessings of her grandmother prior to their engagement. Even though the couple claimed to be together in early 2014, Bobby Brown's lawyer gave out a statement that Bobbi Kristina is not and has never been married to Nick Gordon.

Nick Gordon was in the thick of things after the death of his supposed fiancee. He was ordered to pay £28 million in a wrongful death lawsuit that was brought by her estate. According to the lawsuit, Brown had lashed out at Bobbi in a fit of jealousy and gave her a toxic cocktail that made her unconscious and then put her face down in a bathtub that was full of cold water. This caused her brain damage and ultimately led to her demise. Only friends and family attended her funeral, and Bobbi Kristin’s body was carried in a coffin made of silver.
