Parents are confused as how to handle their children. They would like to protect their children from outer influential forces like peer pressure, friends and relatives, colleagues etc. They want that the negativity should not affect their children.

Excessive monitoring and involvement is the best parenting method, wherein the parents become friends of their children and share their experiences and make the children understand about the outside world and how to tackle and face various kinds of issues and problems.
Take them visiting so they learn how to behave in others homes and take them shopping so they learn what you do and how to behave in public. Life will not be such a mystery to them when they are older and of course to a movie or live shows.
Another thing that doesn't help children is sending them to school too early when they are only four. The most successful countries in relation to education like Finland, don't start their children at school till age seven. A child will learn in 3 months what it takes others who start younger 3 years to learn. At least wait until they are five.
It's very important for child to be disciplined on their formative years (1-10 years old) because this is the stage where character is molded and belief systems are created. If they do know the consequences of not following rules or orders from their parents, they will become a problem at home, and later on in the society.
