Is your kid about to start his school? Are you more nervous than him? The very feeling of your little munchkin leaving the house and staying without you haunts most of the parents. It is quite likely to be apprehensive and scared about the same.
But you are the parent, and it is your responsibility not only to prepare yourself but your kid to for the new journey he is about to take. We have a list of few pointers that will give you a ride into what all you can do or at least try to follow to help your kid get prepared for pre-school.
#1. Talk To Your Kid
As a parent, it is very important to talk to the kids, while they start their schooling or are about to start a new session. Tell them in advance about the place they will be going to and what all they will be doing. Talk to them about the old friends and the new ones that they will be making. Such conversations help the kids to prepare themselves mentally for the changes. Tell them about how big the new school is, and how big they will become once they start going there. Kids love it when their parents refer to them as grown-ups.

#2. Take Them To School
Take your kid for a walk in the school to show them around. Give them a round, around the important places, like the classrooms, toilets, canteen, principal’s office etc. We have all been through that age so you can also tell them about your fun school-time stories about the same places. That will make your kid instantly like the place plus they will think of you each time they cross the place.

#3. Take Them To Shopping
Everybody loves to shop. Kids love to carry new stuff on their first day of school. Take them out for some stationery shopping, buy them some colorful erasers, a new bag, a cute lunch box or maybe a pair of new shoes. This fills the kid with excitement and he wants to go to school to flaunt his brand new stuff.

#4. Make The Read And Write
As a parent, you should make your kid read new things and also write whatever he learns. Forming a habit of maintaining a journal will help the kid in the long run. Reading new words will enhance his vocabulary and improve his vocabulary too.Writing will help them to express themselves better.

#5. Stay Involved
To help your child have a steady routine, keep a check on his bus timings, his bedtime, his teacher’s name, his homework completion, the parent-teacher meetings and his friends too. This will help you to keep a regular check on his daily activities and act accordingly.

#6. Know Your Child's Needs
Just because the kids are small, parents tend to take them for granted. It is important to understand the needs of your kids. They might hesitate talking about the little things that bother them at school, and therefore, you need to make them feel comfortable and speak their heart out.

#7. Take Advise
You can take your kids to the neighbor’s house where the kids are the same age and have started their schools too. It will help your kid and you to gain more insight into how you can help each other function better.
