Writing a cheque is easy. At least that is what the most of us believe and end up making mistakes that turn out to be huge blunders. Enter the wrong amount and you can end up losing money or make a small mistake while entering the name of the recipient and your cheque will bounce. Here is how you write a cheque:
1.    First you enter the date of issue of cheque which is usually written at the top of the cheque. You can enter the date in any of the conventional date formats.
2.    Then you need to enter the name of the payee. This can be an individual or a company that is going to receive the sum of money through this cheque.
3.    The amount you are transferring is entered twice. Once in numbers and once in words. Make sure that no mistake is made while writing the two.
4.    Lastly, you sign the cheque which indicates that you have authorized this bank note and it hasn’t been forged.
