This bloodthirsty man declared himself as the successor of Genghis Khan. And Genghis Khan is known for his brutality and unlawful military deeds.
The massacre of people and constructing pyramids of their heads was a routine practice that he enjoyed most. Another thing, Babur was the great-great-great grandson of Taimur. Babur, the founder of the Mughal Empire, who invaded India and did all unlawful and unethical things here.
So in the perspective of India, the word Taimur is deeply related to Genghis Khan and Babur too.

So actually there seem to be other role models, as well, for those who advocate this name. So it is really suicidal to just mind our own business, as the sponsored think-tanks suggest. Rather it is really needed that we mind such businesses very closely and comprehend their mindsets and reasons behind.
